Returning to the office

Industry experts proclaim, “Working from home is here to stay!” Scroll down your news feed a bit further and you’ll see, “Hybrid offices are the new normal!” It seems that everyone is weighing in on the state of the office today. It’s not just the traditional office that’s under a microscope but also the way our children learn and how we approach healthcare.
While many proclaim to know the future of the workplace - the reality is it all depends. It depends on an organization’s resources. It also depends on how they do business. How are they interfacing with clients? How do internal teams work together? What is the size of the meeting space(s)? How many people typically attend? Geographies also determine what is or isn’t possible. Will meetings include both in-office workers and remote?
If there’s a standing Monday meeting with all hands on deck – can it be successful in a virtual space or is more accomplished when the team is together physically?
The key to choosing the right video and audio endpoints is determining what factors are most important and testing out the options to ensure a good fit.
For our team we know that some meetings are better over video but others just need a great audio connection. With our clients we often want to share our screens or have the ability to quickly switch between cameras and speakerphones to showcase our portfolio. In other environments we want the options to poll the audience and provide additional product materials. Even with all these tools at our fingertips we still believe that in-person quarterly meetings are necessary to make certain projects move forward. We encourage our clients to identify the various ways their teams and customers interface and let us help in finding the right hardware to meet those needs. For some meetings pants are optional and that's a wonderful thing!
Boom on the road
